A major new chapter in the transformation of Downtown Boynton Beach is officially underway.

The Boynton Beach CRA (BBCRA), in partnership with the City of Boynton Beach and Time Equities, Inc., is excited to announce the groundbreaking of Octavia, the highly anticipated mixed-use redevelopment of the Town Square South Parcel.
The groundbreaking marks an important milestone for a property that has long been envisioned as a key component of Downtown Boynton Beach’s continued revitalization. With construction officially beginning, that vision is now becoming a reality.

Located in the heart of downtown, Octavia will transform the South Parcel, located at 120 SE 1st Avenue, into a vibrant mixed-use destination featuring 465 residential units, approximately 6,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, new public parking and additional opportunities for businesses, residents and visitors to experience downtown Boynton Beach.
The project represents a significant private investment in the community and builds upon years of strategic planning and public investment by the BBCRA and City to encourage redevelopment within the downtown core.

As part of the redevelopment agreement, Octavia will also deliver several direct community benefits, including 224 metered public parking spaces, a $2.24 million contribution toward workforce housing, a $500,000 public art contribution, and approximately 1,000 square feet of retail space reserved to create an opportunity for a local business.
The start of construction comes at an especially exciting time for Downtown Boynton Beach, where multiple major redevelopment projects are actively reshaping the area. New residential development, commercial opportunities, public improvements and private investment are creating greater density and activity while helping establish a more connected and vibrant downtown.

For the BBCRA, the groundbreaking of Octavia represents more than the start of construction, it is another visible example of the long-term impact of redevelopment.
Through strategic property acquisition, public-private partnerships and targeted investment, the BBCRA continues to help move catalytic projects forward that expand the downtown residential population, support local businesses, attract new investment and strengthen Downtown Boynton Beach as a destination to live, work, dine and visit.
