The Boynton Beach CRA (BBCRA) is proud to join communities across the state to celebrate Florida Redevelopment Week, September 14–18, 2026, which recognizes the transformative impact of community redevelopment on neighborhoods, downtowns, commercial corridors, and local economies.
Florida Redevelopment Week is a statewide initiative led by the Florida Redevelopment Association to highlight how Community Redevelopment Agencies (CRAs) and redevelopment programs strengthen communities through strategic public investment, economic development, infrastructure improvements, neighborhood revitalization, and partnerships with local businesses and residents.
The Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA) is a statewide organization dedicated to advancing community redevelopment through education, collaboration, and advocacy. The FRA supports Community Redevelopment Agencies and redevelopment professionals working to strengthen Florida’s communities through responsible, innovative redevelopment practices.
Throughout the week, communities across Florida will showcase redevelopment projects, recognize community partners, celebrate local successes and educate residents about the lasting benefits of redevelopment initiatives.
BBCRA Executive Director Adam Temple highlighted the significance of the ongoing transformation:
“Florida Redevelopment Week is an opportunity to celebrate the tremendous transformation taking place in Boynton Beach. Today, we are seeing years of strategic planning and public investment come to life through major development projects currently underway throughout our downtown. These investments are bringing new housing, businesses, public spaces and economic activity to the heart of our city while attracting significant private investment.
The transformation of downtown Boynton Beach demonstrates the important role the BBCRA plays in creating the conditions for redevelopment, building strong public-private partnerships and turning long-term community goals into tangible progress. It is an exciting time for Boynton Beach, and we are proud to see a more vibrant and connected downtown taking shape.”
Community redevelopment efforts help attract private investment, support local businesses, improve public spaces, expand housing opportunities and create vibrant places where residents and visitors can live, work and thrive.
Throughout Florida Redevelopment Week, residents are encouraged to engage in activities and learn more about redevelopment projects happening throughout the community.
