The Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (BBCRA), in partnership with the Boynton Beach Police Department, proudly celebrated the successful ribbon cutting of the new Neighborhood Officer Program (NOP) office at the Heart of Boynton Shops.

The event marked a significant milestone for the community, as the NOP office becomes the first commercial space to open within the Heart of Boynton Shops located at 137 NE 10^th Avenue, Unit 108. This vibrant, permanent location represents a major step forward in the City’s commitment to providing accessible, community-centered public service.

The ceremonial ribbon cutting brought together community members, local leaders, and partners to commemorate the occasion and highlight the importance of continued collaboration between residents and law enforcement.

In partnership with Centennial Management Corporation, the property owner, the development agreement secured the office space rent-free in perpetuity for the NOP. This meaningful collaboration underscores a shared commitment to strengthening community relationships and investing in long-term neighborhood success.

Since its launch in Fiscal Year 2015–2016, the Neighborhood Officer Program has played a vital role in transforming local neighborhoods by building trust, respect, and strong partnerships. The NOP team, comprised of four officers and a sergeant, focuses on proactive engagement to reduce crime and improve quality of life in historically challenged areas.

With continued support from the BBCRA, the program has achieved impactful results, including mentoring local students, assisting with police recruitment, supporting homeless outreach efforts, distributing food to families, hosting back-to-school drives, and organizing community engagement events. The team also remains deeply committed to listening to and addressing the needs of residents and stakeholders.

The opening of the new office provides a centralized hub for the Neighborhood Officer Program to expand its efforts and continue fostering a safer, more connected, and thriving Boynton Beach community.
