Exciting progress is underway at the Heart of Boynton Shops! Construction on the commercial spaces is moving full steam ahead, with two of the seven units receiving their Certificates of Occupancy in March 2026.

The first completed space, Unit 108, is now home to the BBCRA-funded Neighborhood Officer Program. This 1,055-square-foot office provides a welcoming environment where residents and business owners can connect with officers, share concerns, and collaborate on community-focused initiatives.

Shortly after, Unit 106 was completed for the Law and Mediation Office of Diane André, Esq. Founded in 2022, the firm offers a cost-effective, efficient alternative to traditional litigation, with a mission to create more equitable outcomes for all parties.

Several more businesses are under construction, with others preparing to open their doors:

  • JB Dental Care, Unit 103, is dedicated to delivering high-quality, affordable dental services with a strong emphasis on preventive care and hygiene education.
  • Big John’s To-Go, Unit 105, will serve as the second location of the popular Big John’s Eatery in West Palm Beach, bringing its signature blend of brunch, culture, and bold flavors to Boynton Beach.
  • Xpedited Health Care, Unit 102, will provide prompt, compassionate, higher-level care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.

Looking ahead, additional tenants in the pipeline include a bakery, another restaurant, and a professional services business—further enhancing the diversity of offerings at the site.

Together, these neighborhood-serving businesses will play a vital role in activating the E. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard corridor and strengthening the local economy.

Economic Impact and BBCRA Investment

The Heart of Boynton Shops is part of a larger mixed-use development located at 137 NE 10th Avenue. The BBCRA has invested approximately $2.3 million toward eligible commercial build-out improvements. Complementing this investment, a 10-year rent stabilization initiative is in place to support local, community-based businesses as they grow and expand in Boynton Beach.

The long-term impact is significant. According to Palm Beach County’s 2023 Economic Impact Study, the project’s commercial component is projected to generate an estimated $102.7 million in economic activity over five years and create 518 direct and indirect jobs.

We look forward to celebrating the continued progress and welcoming these businesses to the Heart of Boynton Shops.
