On October 15, the BBCRA had the pleasure of welcoming professionals from across Florida as part of the Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA) Annual Conference, held this year in West Palm Beach.

The FRA, operating under the Florida League of Cities, serves as the statewide professional organization for redevelopment agencies. Each year, its conference delivers valuable insights on CRA-related issues, best practices, programs, and legislative updates.

As part of the event, attendees explored CRAs throughout Palm Beach County. Delray Beach and Boynton Beach partnered to present an engaging, immersive tour showcasing the charm and growth of the region’s coastal communities.

The Boynton Beach portion of the tour began at the City Hall & Library municipal building, where guests were greeted by BBCRA Board Chair Rebecca Shelton and City Manager Dan Dugger. The group then visited the Boynton Harbor Marina, a key anchor for downtown activity and recreational experiences. There, attendees enjoyed complimentary mocktails from Tiki Taxi & Cruises, one of the Marina’s 19 commercial tenants, and learned about the redevelopment of one of the county’s only public marinas.

The tour continued through Downtown Boynton Beach, highlighting transformative projects such as The Villages, the future USPS site, and the Cottage District Project. The tour concluded at The Heart of Boynton Village Apartments & Shops, where BBCRA Vice Chair Woodrow Hay offered closing remarks over a delightful brunch provided by Big John’s To-Go, a Heart of Boynton Shops tenant.

Throughout the day, the BBCRA emphasized how public-private partnerships continue to play a vital role in driving inclusive, community-centered growth.

A heartfelt thank you to our development partners — Edgewater Capital, Affiliated Development, Hyperion, Pulte Homes, Centennial Management Corporation, Waypoint Marine, and Tiki Taxi — for helping make this tour such a memorable success!
