As the Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (BBCRA) embarks on another impactful year of community redevelopment, we’re proud to reflect on recent milestones and preview the exciting work ahead. From this year’s groundbreaking of The Villages and Cottage District to forming new partnerships with projects like Town Square and new business promotional activations such as Bon Appétit Boynton Beach, it’s clear: eastern Boynton Beach is on the rise.

Fueled by last year’s momentum and continued commitment to revitalization, the BBCRA’s project fund for this fiscal year totals approximately $15.1 million, supporting a wide range of infrastructure improvements, programming, and economic development initiatives.

In partnership with the City of Boynton Beach, the BBCRA is funding several transformative projects designed to beautify and energize the community. Major park renovations at Pence Park, Jaycee Park, and Harvey Oyer Park will bring renewed green spaces proving vibrant and welcoming environments for residents and visitors to enjoy.

Other critical infrastructure projects include the Federal Highway Streetscape, 4th Street Streetscape, Federal Highway Crosswalk, and the MLK Jr. Boulevard Streetscape improvements. These enhancements will improve walkability and pedestrian safety while elevating the visual character of our city’s key corridors.

One of the most impactful changes coming this year is the acquisition and demolition of the Inn at Boynton Beach, located at the entry of I-95 and Boynton Beach Boulevard. This major redevelopment opportunity will lay the foundation for a future gateway into the city, setting the stage for a bold new entrance that reflects the city’s vision and unique character.

The BBCRA Board remains committed to supporting sustainable transit solutions. The Coastal Cruiser, powered by Circuit Inc., will continue offering affordable, eco-friendly rides that connect residents and visitors to key destinations throughout eastern Boynton Beach.

Now entering its seventh year, the Neighborhood Office Program is on track to move into a new space at the Heart of Boynton Shops by the end of 2025, strengthening its community outreach and resources.

The BBCRA is excited to welcome new businesses and encourages those opening or relocating to eastern Boynton Beach to explore our Economic Development Grant Programs. With over $600,000 budgeted this year, the BBCRA offers 50% matching, reimbursable grants to support both new and existing businesses. The BBCRA looks forward to championing the success of our small business community and helping it thrive in an ever-evolving marketplace.

That’s why we will continue to support local businesses with a variety of opportunities to engage with community members and visitors through a series of dynamic promotional activations. These initiatives are designed to spotlight local entrepreneurs, activate commercial areas, and encourage local spending. Be on the lookout for the return of our signature promotions, including: Rock the Plaza, Spring Market, Night Market, and Rock the Marina.

As we look ahead, the BBCRA remains steadfast in its mission to foster a vibrant and economically resilient community. Every project, partnership, and program we pursue is guided by a commitment to enhancing quality of life, supporting local businesses, and creating a place where residents, visitors, and investors alike can thrive. We’re excited for what’s to come and invite you to join us as we continue shaping the future of eastern Boynton Beach together!
