Mark your calendars for the ultimate bartender showdown, where nine of the top restaurants in the area compete to create the best cocktails! Co-hosted by three of Boynton Beach’s finest eateries, Driftwood, Sweetwater, and The Butcher & The Bar, “Battle of the Beaches – Cocktail Showdown” is a 6-part event where the winner gets to claim the bragging rights as the best mixologist in our local area.

Here’s the lineup:

  • Draw Party – August 19th at 6pm at Driftwood
  • Preliminary Round 1 – September 9th at 6 p.m. at The Butcher & the Bar
    • Competitors: Aidan Turner, Ayn Koder, and Maizie Betz
  • Preliminary Round 2 – September 30th at 6 p.m. at Sweetwater
    • Competitors: Myles Robinson, Matt Swig, and Randhu Castillo
  • Preliminary Round 3 – October 14th at 6 p.m. at The Butcher & the Bar
    • Competitors: Gabby Tirillo, Robert Bell, and Daniela Villasana
  • Final Round – November 11th at 6 p.m. at Sweetwater
  • Post Party – November 25th at 6 p.m. at Driftwood

No tickets or reservations necessary! Each of the events are free and open to the public. Enjoy live DJ sets and complimentary spirit tastings at each celebration. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at all locations.

Come cheer for your favorite bartender as they shake, stir, and pour their way to victory!

How the competition works: 

The bartenders will be evaluated on their mixology mastery – presentation, taste, creativity, flair, and more – and are competing for several prizes and the ultimate bragging rights as the best of the best in mixology. They will be judged by a panel of four, three local hospitality and media personalities, and one randomly selected audience member. You read correctly; YOU could be one of the judges!
