As we start to prepare for Phase 1 of Florida’s reopening plan scheduled for May 11, restaurants and retail businesses will be able to operate at 25 percent capacity. While preparing to reopen, hometown heroes continue to assist the community by stepping up and providing much-needed relief for Boynton Beach residents. This week we highlight two Boynton Beach restaurants who are giving back to the community.

Café Frankie’s

Cafe Frankie’s known for its parrot “Frankie” out front of the restaurant, delicious Italian food, and is a staple in the Boynton Beach Community. An anonymous local donor contributed enough money to the restaurant to not only keep it operating, but also allow it to host a food drive. On Wednesday, May 6, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:40 p.m., 100 people were able to pick up a free meal, curbside.

“Thank you to all my customers who are helping me out. We’ll all get through this,” Anthony Calicchio, owner of Café Frankie’s.

You can help support Café Frankie’s by ordering takeout from 640 E. Ocean Ave. Boynton Beach, 33435 by calling (561) 732-3834, and by visiting their website at http://www.cafefrankies.com/.

Hurricane Alley

Hurricane Alley, located in the Heart of Downtown Boynton Beach, has been a local hot spot for many years. Specializing in fresh seafood, delicious sandwiches, and much more, this local establishment is now giving back to the Boynton Beach Community.

Hurricane Alley Restaurant donated 25 meals this week to feed the workers at St Johns Baptist Church, who are providing free testing through the Genesis Health Organization. Hurricane Alley is planning to provide more free lunches to staff at various testing sites around the community.

You can help support Hurricane Alley by ordering takeout from 529 E Ocean Ave, Boynton Beach, FL 33435 by calling (561) 364-4008, and by visiting their website at https://www.myhurricanealley.com/.
