The Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and the City of Boynton Beach collaborated on land acquisitions for the construction of 16 new single-family homes. With the partnership of Habitat for Humanity, seven of these homes have been completed between NW 10th and NW 11th Avenues. This project has also included infrastructure improvements within the NW 11thAvenue right-of-way.

In addition to the land acquisition and infrastructure improvements, Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County received a $75,000 grant from the Boynton Beach CRA to assist with their Door to Sustainability Project which provides new affordable housing within the CRA District. On August 8, 2019, at 9:00 a.m., a ribbon cutting ceremony for the completion of NW 11th Avenue and a groundbreaking ceremony for the Model Block project will be held along NW 11th Avenue between Seacrest Blvd. and NW 1st Street.  Parking for the event is available at the Carolyn Sims Center (225 NW 12th Ave, Boynton Beach).
