While many of the surrounding cities to Boynton Beach have St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, the Boynton Beach Blarney Bash is definitely unique. Most St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are centered around libation, but Boynton offers a family-friendly environment. (Don’t worry, there are still plenty of drinks to go around!) Not only is the event free to the public, they also offer a bounce house, rock wall, super slide, face painting, and balloon twisting all free of charge.

This year’s music lineup includes Fire in the Kitchen, a traditional Irish band that’s sure to get everyone to feel the luck of the Irish, Clockwork Knotwork, a steampunk ragtime, Irish-bluegrass, jazz and blues band all wrapped up with a medieval twist, and Blues Dragon featuring a rocking blues sound. The show starts at 6:00 P.M. at the Boynton Beach Amphitheater (129 East Ocean Avenue) and continues until 10:00 P.M.

Besides the family activities, and great music, the Boynton Beach CRA is sponsoring a “wearing of the greens” costume contest. Cash prizes will be awarded to the crowd-nominated best dressed in green. So come out this Friday night for some St. Patrick’s Day fun! Feel free to bring your neighbors, your friends, and your family because there really is something for everyone. There is no admission for this event. Food and drinks are available for purchase. You may even get to meet a leprechaun!
