The Inn is OUT: Making Way for Future Revitalization Along Boynton Beach Boulevard

Exciting progress is officially underway along one of Boynton Beach’s most visible gateways! On December 17, 2025, the Boynton Beach CRA (BBCRA) celebrated the start of demolition, fittingly titled “The Inn is OUT,” at the former Inn at Boynton Beach—marking a major milestone in the transformation of Boynton Beach Boulevard.

The demolition kicked off the clearing of the 2.11-acre property located at the intersection of Boynton Beach Boulevard and I-95. This highly prominent site sits alongside FDOT’s ongoing I-95 interchange improvements, making it a key location for future redevelopment and renewed first impressions of our city.

The entire Boynton Beach CRA Board joined the celebration, including Board Chair Rebecca Shelton, Vice Chair Woodrow L. Hay, and Board Members Angela Cruz, Thomas Turkin, and Aimee Kelley—all showing their support for revitalizing this important corridor.

The BBCRA acquired the property on October 1, 2025, for $8.1 million as part of its long-term vision to spark catalytic redevelopment along Boynton Beach’s primary east–west corridor. After careful evaluation, demolition was identified as the essential first step to unlock new opportunities for the site.

Adding momentum to the effort, the BBCRA received a $75,000 grant from the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County’s Blighted and Distressed Property Clean-Up Grant Program, helping offset demolition costs and fast-track progress. With the site cleared, the stage is now set to attract private investment and create a vibrant, modern urban destination.

Located within the Boynton Beach Boulevard District—a vital gateway to Downtown—this redevelopment will play an important role in creating a more welcoming, accessible, and dynamic corridor. The project aligns with both the BBCRA’s vision and the City’s Master Plan, which prioritizes strategic corridor investments, enhanced mobility, and high-quality urban design.

This is just the beginning! The BBCRA will continue sharing updates as plans move forward—another exciting step toward a more vibrant, beautiful, and thriving Boynton Beach.
